YOUR BUSINESS STAYS YOUR BUSINESS.
privacy.
This policy explains how Coded Realities LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in Mirage, our Mac app, and on this website.
Mirage collects no app usage or personal data. Your camera, microphone and speech are processed on your Mac. You don’t need a Mirage account, and there are no analytics, ads or trackers.
01. No app data collection
Mirage does not collect, sell, share or upload personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking data. We do not operate user accounts or build profiles of people using Mirage. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
App settings and the information needed to track your free live-use allowance are kept locally on your Mac. They are not sent to us.
02. Your camera, voice and captions
Mirage uses your camera to recognize gestures, follow your face and place effects in your video. If you enable live captions, it uses your microphone and Apple’s on-device speech-recognition frameworks to turn speech into styled words.
Camera frames, microphone audio and recognized speech are processed on your Mac. Mirage does not record, store or transmit them to us or to a cloud-processing service. Temporary information needed to render an effect or caption is used in memory and is not saved as a recording or transcript.
Live captions require macOS 26 or later. Apple’s speech model downloads once when needed; the model download is separate from processing your speech, which stays on your Mac. You control camera and microphone permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security, and can revoke them at any time.
When you select Mirage Camera in Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, Teams, Discord, OBS or another app, Mirage makes its processed video available to that app on your Mac. That app may transmit, record or otherwise handle your video and audio according to its settings and privacy policy. Mirage’s local processing does not change how your call app works.
03. Your images and GIFs
Images and GIFs you add as custom reactions stay in Mirage’s own app folder on your Mac. We do not upload or access them. You can remove custom reactions in the app; you control your device’s backups and any copies you keep elsewhere.
04. Purchases are handled by Apple
Apple handles App Store purchases, subscription billing and payment information. We do not receive your card number, bank details or other payment credentials. Mirage uses Apple’s purchase services to check whether Pro is active; this does not create a Mirage account.
Apple may provide developers with sales and financial reports about App Store transactions. Those reports are separate from app tracking and do not give us access to your camera, microphone, captions or payment details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
05. Support email and this website
If you email [email protected], we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and keep it only as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Please avoid sending recordings, transcripts or other sensitive information unless it is needed for your question. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to any legal retention requirements.
This website has no cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party embeds. Fonts, images, scripts and demo videos are served from this site. It makes no automatic requests to external services and does not access your camera or microphone.
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering and securing any web page requires the host to process ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and request details. That hosting activity is separate from the Mirage app’s on-device processing. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices. External links open services governed by their own policies only when you choose to follow them.
06. Children
Mirage does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children, through the app. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of video calls, custom media and App Store purchases. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, contact us so we can address it and delete it where appropriate.
07. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Mirage changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
